Since the launch 10 years ago Luminette Privacy Sheers have earned accolades from designers and consumers as the worlds  finest sheer offering privacy and light control.  And, because they are the most profitable product in the Hunter Douglas portfolio, dealers have been clamoring to sell more to a wider consumer audience.  To help achieve that goal, Hunter Douglas is introducing a contemporary new vane size, an exquisite new textured fabric and more saturated colors intended to capture the hearts and minds of younger consumers.

Meet the spectacular new Luminette Quintette vane.  At nearly 5 inches, it allows 50 percent more view-through than the Classic 3 ˝  inch vane, providing wide open views with limitless privacy and infinite light control.The Quintette vane size features Portico, and innovative fabric with a screen like open weave that further improves view-through and adds to the contemporary appeal.  Six Portico color options are available in both translucent and room-darkening opacities. 

For younger consumers, the Luminette product has always appealed to discerning consumers who appreciate the look of draperies with a lighter, softer feel.  Now, the Quintette vane and Portico fabric will help you attract customers with fashions forward design preferences to the Luminette line. Hunter Douglas has added elegant, rich colors with our new Angelica Luxe collection of six organic earth tones.  By printing color on the vanes and dyeing the header and face fabric, we have achieved a rich, saturated effect.  The Angelica Luxe collection is our enhanced color solution for todays bolder, more expressive home decors.

Speaking of color, Hunter Douglas has refreshed the entire Luminette palette and added a shimmering new hardware color- Mushroom Sparkle that coordinates with Classic and Quintette vanes, any fabric and all operating systems. The reinvention of Luminette sheers does not stop with vane size, textured fabrics and color options. Hunter Douglas has also added a new operating system and improved motorized technology that is proving very popular with consumers.

Hunter Douglas new Traveling Want, operating system is the essence of simplicity.  Use the wand to gently push or pull the sheers from side to side or use it to rotate the vanes.  Research shows consumers love this option, especially for sliding glass doors.  The Traveling Wand systems is available with all fabrics and both vane sizes.  Additionally, Luminette Privacy Sheers are now available with Power Glide with Platinum Technology Motorization.

Hunter Douglas proudly unveils its Pirouette window shadings

Like classical ballet, Pirouette window shading exudes artistry, grace and style.  Another Hunter Douglas original, Pirouette window shadings promise to transform the window fashions industry. 

You have never seen anything like Pirouette window shadings.  Soft horizontal fabric vanes are attached to a single sheer backing, allowing enhanced views to the outside and a beautiful fabric appearance on the inside.  They combine the personality of a classic fabric shade with the ability to control light in an entirely new way.

At the heart of Pirouette shadings is the revolutionary Incise Lit system of clear stands that suspend the horizontal fabric vanes gracefully in the window.  A single operating cord enables the vanes to be closed for privacy or adjusted open for precise light control and view through the shadings can also be completely retracted into the head rail.  The amazing design of Pirouette shadings delivers unmatched versatility.  When they are not retracted into the head rail, the fabric vanes can be flattened for complete closure, slightly contoured while still maintaining privacy and closure, or open anywhere in between for precise light control.  No other window fashion offers this much function and style. 

Every Pirouette fabric including room darkening and color is available in both the 4 inch Petite and 5 inch Grande vane sizes, and in widths and heights up to 120 inch.  In additional standard fabric covered handrail and bottom rail create a unified look from top to bottom.  There are three beautifully textured fabric styles - Crepe, Linen and Satin.  A top of the line woven fabric, Crepe comes in 12 neutral and bold colors that feature even color and texture.  Linen has a semi casual texture in eight neutral, earth tone colors.  And finally, Hunter Douglas  larges fabric line, Satin is elegant yet chic, with just a hint of sheen.  Available in 24 colors, it is sure to satisfy every taste and decor.  There is a choice of tow proven lifting systems for Pirouette window shadings the Easy Rise continuous cord loop or the Ultra Glide retractable cord system.  In addition, there is a two - on one headrail option in which two shading share one common continuous headrail and operate independently.
