Commonwealths Tailored Valance or Straight Valance as some call it, is a plain rectangular valance that has been around for a while. It may be used on its own or with a pair of swags on each end. The typical fullness of a tailored valance is 2 to 1.

Commonwealth design some of there grommet panels to be used outdoors. Typical fullness for a grommet panel would be 1 ½ to 1 which means that a 45 inch wide pole top panel will cover around 30 inches.
Commonwealths Pinch Pleated Drapes are often used in a traditional formal look. They are available in many different widths, and are sold by Commonwealth in pairs. They are made with a number of pleats. The fullness of Pinch pleated drapes are preset: if it is 40 inches wide, it will cover 40 inches because the fullness is already included in the pleating. A 40 inch wide drapery means 2 panels of 20 wide each.
Pocket Top Curtain Panels are similar to pole top except that the pocket top panel doesnâ??t feature a header above the rod pocket. This will display a more contemporary tailored look. Commonwealth makes a typical fullness for a pocket top panel would be 2 to 1 which means that a 50 inch wide pole top panel will cover around 25 inches.
